Sister M. Lourdes CSC, 84, died Sunday in St. Mary’s Convent. Born Katherine Mangan in Ireland, she professed her vows in 1878, She was assigned to help in the university kitchen where she served for 49 years, retiring in 1927.

A requiem mass will be at the sister’s chapel at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Burial will be in the community cemetery.
