Anna V. Mangus

Anna V. Mangus, 79, residing on East Bowman Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 25, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, to which she had been admitted on Friday. Mrs. Mangus was born on Oct. 4, 1922, in Gary, Ind., as the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Glaiser) Small, and had lived in South Bend all of her life.

 

On Jan. 5, 1946, in South Bend, as Anna V. Small, she married Junior E. Mangus, who passed away on Aug. 7, 1987. She was also preceded in death by eight siblings. Anna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was always first in her life. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy Mangus of South Bend; a granddaughter, Jennifer Mangus, who she loved very much; and by a sister, Jeanne Bazarko of Munster, Ind.

 

Services for Mrs. Mangus will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty, Ind. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 27, in the Palmer Funeral Home.
