Mrs. S. Frank Mangus

Mrs. Maude E. Mangus, 23350 W. Colfax Ave., died at 1:30 a.m. today in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gladys Sheets, 56996 Beech Rd., Osceola, after a three-year illness. She was born in Portage Twp. March 23, 1883, and had lived in this vicinity all her life. She was married in Portage Twp. April 8, 1903, to S. Frank Mangus, who survives. Surviving besides the daughter and husband are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Everett, was killed in an automobile accident in 1941. A brother, Ira Brown of South Bend, died April 12. Mrs. Mangus was a member of the Monson Chapel Methodist Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid of the church. The body was taken to the Welsheimer Funeral Home.
