SOUTH BEND - Phillip R. Mann, 81, of
South 27th Street, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's
Medical Center. Mr. Mann retired in 1979 from the former Bendix
Corp. after 31 years of service as a machinist. He was born July
23, 1913, in Warren County, Ind.
On Aug. 28, 1937, in Lafayette, Ind., he
married Dora Rayl. She survives with two daughters, Sherry
Boren of South Bend and Shirley Czoch of
Bollingbrook, Ill.; three sons, Tom of Porter, Texas, Perry of
Kansas City, Mo., and Ronald of Magnolia, Texas; 17
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Wentling
of Sun City, Ariz.; and two brothers, Malden of Gilbertsville,
Ky., and Keith of Gainsville, Texas. A daughter, Patricia Collins,
died in 1987.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be
in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
