David E. Manspeaker

David E. Manspeaker, 65, of Deep Wood Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 9:28 a.m. Nov. 21, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, after a long illness. David was born July 1, 1931, in Bangor, Mich., to David R. and Peggy Manspeaker, who both preceded him in death.

 

David retired as vice president from the Associates Corp., in 1981, after 25 years of service. He then worked for ESI Meats of Bristol, Ind., as financial officer from 1981 to 1989. David was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, the Mishawaka Planning Commission, Board of Appeals, Supervisory Committee for Miles Credit Union, Elks Lodge 235, South Bend; and was a Michigan All-State Guard from 1950 to 1951.

 

He married Janet L. Kraiger in Coloma, Mich., on June 2, 1951. David is survived by his wife; a daughter, Deborah M. Bolinger, and a son, David R. Manspeaker, both of Mishawaka; and four grandchildren. One brother, Russell Man-speaker, also preceded him in death in 1965.

 

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, with Father Elden Miller officiating. Burial will take place in the North Shore Memory Gardens, Hager Shores, Mich. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or the Salvation Army.
