MISHAWAKA - Bertha Mae Manuel, 91, of
310 W. Grove St., died at 10:05 a.m. Friday in her home of
natural causes. Mrs. Manuel had been a missionary with Baptist
Mid Missions in Central Africa Republic for 34 years. She was
born Sept. 13, 1903, in Mishawaka. Surviving are a sister, Helen
M. Manuel of Mishawaka; two nieces, Martha L. Pierce and
Barbara A. Owen, both of Indianapolis; and a nephew,
Gerald E. Manuel of Lebanon, Ind. She was a member of First
Baptist Church of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Mishawaka City Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
