Rose T. Manuszak

Rose T. Manuszak, 90, of the Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind., formerly of Prast Boulevard, passed away Monday, Jan.14, in the nursing home.

 

Mrs. Manuszak was born on June 1, 1911, in South Bend, to the late John and Mary (Palfi) Pecsi. Mrs. Manuszak was with the Bendix Corporation for nine years and then the Red Cross for 16 years, retiring in 1971.

 

On May 19, 1934, as Rose T. Pecsi, she married Joseph W. Manuszak, who preceded her in death on March 12, 1974.

 

She is survived by a brother, Steve (Shirley) Pesci of Mishawaka, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Martha Pecsi, Marie Pechi and Susie Pecsi, all of South Bend; and by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Wenrick, Theresa Dudeck and Gizella Slesinski; and by three brothers, Joseph Pesi, John Pechi and Louis Pecsi.

 

Mrs. Manuszak was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and was a dance instructor at Forever Learning.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in St. John the Baptist Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 16, in the KANIEWSKI Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
