William F. Manuszak

William F. Manuszak, 91, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. William was born on July 23, 1912, in South Bend, to John and Mary Ann Manuszak.

On Dec. 28, 1974, he married the former Mary Niemezyk, who preceded him in death in 1989. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Judy, and by his great-grandson, Alec.

William worked as a union steward for many years at the Bendix Corporation before retiring in 1966. He is survived by three daughters, Elaine Montgomery, Louise DeWitte and Kathleen Miller, all of South Bend; two sons, William M. Manuszak of Richland, Mich., and James J. Manuszak of Elkhart, Ind.; two stepsons, William Bailey of Arizona and Joseph Morrison of Georgia; and by 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Matthew's Cathedral. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, where a Rosary was held at 4:15 p.m.
