Bonnie J. Marchand, 74, of East Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away of natural causes on Thursday, July 27, in her home. Mrs. Marchand was born Feb. 24, 1926, to Rueben and Grace (LaRue) Shaw in Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Cloyce Morgan; and stepsisters, Iva Brookman, Ruby Crosser, and Flora Davis.

On Aug. 7, 1948, she married Don Marchand. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, James Marchand, and his wife, Glenda of Osceola, Ind., Jon Marchand and his wife, Lori of Mishawaka, Joseph Marchand and his wife, Tina of Pierceton, Ind., and Jeffery Marchand of Mishawaka; a foster brother, Gerald Torbet of Rensselaer, Ind.; two foster sisters, Marlene Streitmatter of Rensselaer, and Doris Vass and her husband, Ward of Dallas City, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Kristie Budzinski, Jeremy Marchand and his wife, Kelly, Kimberly Marchand, Nathan Marchand, Josiah Marchand, Jarod Marchand, Sara Marchand, Michel Marchand, Angela Marchand, Krista Hoese and her husband, Steve, and Melody Ford; and by four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, and Melody Budzinski and Blake Hoese.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today, July 29, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends called from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the funeral home.
