Hazel J. Marker, 97, of Ironwood Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Mitchell's Country Care, South Bend. She was born on April 10, 1900, in South Bend, in the residence in which she lived for the rest of her life.

On June 19, 1923, in South Bend, as Hazel J. Linsenmier, she married Ruben O. Marker, who preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Marker is survived by a daughter, Marilyn J. Lael of Pensacola, Fla.; and by three grandchildren, Jinger Kuns of Lake Tahoe, Nev., Timothy Snapp of Sacramento, Calif., and Vincent Snapp of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Friends may call for Mrs. Marker from 3 to 6 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Cremation will take place, with a memorial graveside service to be held at a later date.
