Jack D. Markin: (South Bend Tribune 12/8/1984)

A memorial Mass for Jack D. Markin, 56, of 55568 Grandview Ave., who died at 6:43 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Church. There will be no visitation. Burial has taken place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The St. Joseph Funeral Home made arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Markin was born, May 27, 1928, in Mishawaka, and had lived in this area all of his life. On May 16, 1953, in South Bend, he married Helen Golubski. She survives with a daughter, Brenda Markin of South Bend; three sons, Bruce, Brian and Shawn, all of South Bend; four grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Markin of Torrance, Calif. He was a retired truck driver with Wilson Trucking Co.
