Janet L. Mark, 64, of Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, in Indiana University Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Janet was born in South Bend on June 3, 1938 and was a lifetime area resident. She was a supervisor in Quality Control at Allied Stamping of South Bend and a member of U.A.W. Local #5. Janet was also a member of New Creation Fellowship in Granger. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Deal; a daughter, Louise Mark; and two brothers, David and Timothy Deal. Janet's surviving family are her mother, Kathleen Deal of Mishawaka; Patrick (Laura) Mark of Mishawaka, Anthony (Shelly) Mark of Mishawaka, Mary Mark of South Bend, Linda Mark of South Bend, Angela Mark of Mishawaka, Laurie (Ron) Merrill of Mishawaka, Melissa (Rodney) Morin of Mishawaka, Larry (Carrie) Mark of Mishawaka, Pierre (Libby) Mark of Wilmington, N. Carolina, Ralph (Robin) Linner of Mishawaka and Monique (Mike) Faulkner of Mishawaka. Her surviving brothers and sisters are, Terry (Claire) Deal of Elkhart, Joyce (Tony) Sirko of South Bend, Michael (Evelyn) Deal of Mishawaka, Diane Verstraete of Mishawaka, Colleen (Brent) Seltzer of the U.P. Michigan, Christopher (Toni) Deal of South Bend, Michele Deal of South Bend, and Kevin (Annette) Deal of Mishawaka. She personified the meaning of what a caring mother is. Janet's dedication and endless love enabled her to overcome the toughest of obstacles. She effortlessly gave of herself to ensure everyone around her was comforted.
