" MRS. ALTA MAE MARLEY

    Mrs. Alta Mae Marley, 84, of Peru, formerly of 52790 Hollyhock, died early today at the Miller's Merry Manor, Peru, after an illness of several weeks.  She was born Sept. 4, 1894 in Bremen and had lived in South Bend for about 30 years.  On March 30, 1937 in Indianapolis, she married Ernest O. Marley, who died in April 1978.  She is survived by two sons, Glenn Eley of Peru and Fred Marley of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Wallace of Argos, and four brothers, Walter, Fred, Everrett, and Vert Dawson, all of South Bend.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31 North, with Rev. L. Paul Harris pastor of the Community Congregational Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home."
