Mrs. Arden (Barbara) Martin

May 15, 1929 – November 10, 1982

Mrs. Barbara Anne Martin, 53, of 1420 E. Dubail St., died at 5:30am today in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was employed by Montgomery Ward.  She was born on May 15, 1929, in Chrisman IL, and lived in South Bend most of her life, coming from Illinois.  On September 14, 1947, in Mishawaka, she married Arden E. Martin, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. B. J. (Rebecca) Thompson and Mrs. Michael (Janet) Thompson, both of Mishawaka; a son, Randall A. of South Bend; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James T. (Beverlie) Beck, a South Bend city councilman; and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Temple Wiseman of South Bend.

Services will be at 1pm Friday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel.  B.J.Thompson will officiate, assisted by Rev. George Ebright Sr.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.  Friends may call from 6:30 to 9pm Thursday and 10am to noon Friday in the funeral home.
