Sister Mary Azaria CSC, 85, diied in St. Mary’s Convent Friday afternoon after a lengthy illness. Born Mar. 5, 1889 in Davonport, Iowa as Isabel Martinelli, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on June 28, 1908. She was received as a novice Dec. 10, 1908 and made her profession of vows on Dec. 10, 1910. She taught in Logansport, California, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and Washington DC before coming to St. Mary’s Convent in 1966.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call today and until services, in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today.
