Sister M. Clarinda CSC, 83 died Saturday in St. Mary’s Convent. She was born Mary Veronica Martin on March 8, 1887 in Chicago. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Sept. 8, 1910; received the habit Dec. 10, 1910; and made her profession of vows on Dec. 10, 1912. From 1912 to 1914 she taught at St. Mary of the Assumption in South Bend, and spent most of her life teaching in California until she was assigned to Ogden, Utah in 1956. She had resided at St. Mary’s Convent since 1960.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
