Stella Mae Martin, 91, of 624 W.
Battell St., Mishawaka, Ind., died Monday, Jan. 20, 1997, at
Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind. Mrs.
Martin was born May 8, 1905, in South Bend, to William and Irene Willard.
On April 11, 1925, as Stella Mae Willard,
she married Bernard Martin in Plymouth, Ind. He died July 11,
1978. She was employed at Clark's Laundry (currently Ziker's) as
an inspector. Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Gladys Martin of
Quitman, Ark.; two granddaughters, Kathy Gilbert of Van
Wert, Ohio, and Karen Johns of Lakeland, Fla.; and by a
sister, Mabel Shroat of Grandbury, Texas. She was also
preceded in death by her son, Everett Martin, who died on April
11, 1978.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Officiating will be Rev. David Miller. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mishawaka.
