Kay F. Massengale

July 1, 1943 – January 25, 2003

Kay F. Massengale, 59, of Willis Rd, South Bend, died at 11:53am Saturday, January 25^th in Memorial Hospital.

She was born in South Bend on July 1, 1943, to Grant & Bessie (Mead) DeGraff who preceded her in death.

Kay married James (Big Bird) Massengale in South Bend on February 25, 1984.  He died January 24, 1992.

Kay is survived by two daughters, Roseann Shacht of Virginia Beach VA, Frances Hite of Jacksonville NC, two sons, Michael Hite of South Bend, Shawn Hite of Walkerton; five grandchildren, two sisters, Janet Damp of South Bend, Virginia Brute of NC, two brothers, Larry DeGraff and Earl DeGraff, both of South Bend.  She is also survived by two step daughters, Cynthia Duke of Niles MI, Christina Lawrence of Osceola; two step sons, David Massengale of Mishawaka and Steven Massengale of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 5pm Tuesday, January 28^th in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N Main St., Mishawaka, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery.
