Mrs. Martha Ritter Mathis

Mrs. Martha Ritter Mathis, 1015 Quimby St., died at 11:45 a.m.
Saturday in her home after two years illness.  She was born in
Kosciusko County, Indiana, Sept. 22, 1869, and came here 14 years ago
from Mishawaka.  She was married in South Bend 14 years ago to
Michael Mathis, who survives.  She leaves also four sons, Burt L.
Ritter, Carl Ritter and Melvin Ritter of Mishawaka, and Richard
Ritter, of Elkhart, Ind.; four daughters, Mrs. Mabel McNair, South
Bend; Mrs. Mildred Replogle, Elkhart; Mrs. Marjorie Harris,
Pierceton, Ind., and Mrs. Thelma Whisman, Mishawaka; 38 grandchildren
and 30 great-grandchildren.  Friends may call at the Hollis Funeral
Home after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral there at 2 p.m.
Tuesday.  Rev. Duncan McNabb, of Immannel Baptist Church, Mishawaka,
will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Mathis--Pallbearers for the funeral of Mrs. Martha Ritter Mathis,
1015 Quimby St., which will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the
Hollis Funeral Home, will be Gerald and Warren Ritter, Edward,
Francis and Wayne Replogle and Ralph Whisman, all grandsons.
