Frank A. Mattasits

March 23, 1912 – May 7, 1983

Frank A Mattasits, 71, of 1314 Bercado Circle, died at 8:30pm Saturday in St Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was retired in 1978 from the AM General Corp.

He was born on March 23, 1912, in South Bend, and lived in the area all his life.  On October 16, 1937, in Mishawaka, he married Winifred Schmitt.  She died in 1980.  Surviving are a son, Thomas of Atlanta GA; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Kasca and Mrs. Margaret Domnanovich, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Louis of New Carlisle ad Paul of Granger.

Services will be at 10am Tuesday in St Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Friends may cal form 1 to 5 and 6 to 9pm Monday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where a wake service will be conducted t 7:30pm.  He was a member of the church, the St Stephen’s Society and the Mishawaka Council 1878, Knights of Columbus.
