Sister Mary Paulus CSC, died Saturday in St. Mary’s Convent afrer a prolonged illness. She was born Ellen McArdle in 1884 in County Monaghan, Ireland. She came to New York City and worked there until she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1910. She received the habit in 1910 and made her profession of vows in 1916. During her community life she was missioned to hospitals in Boise, Idaho, and in Illinois, Ohio, and Anderson, Ind. Since 1924 she had been on nursing duty at St. Mary’s.

The requiem mass was offered Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, and burial will be today. The body is in the convent parlor.
