SOUTH BEND - John L. McBride, 84, of
S. St. Joseph Street, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in Regency Place
Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. McBride retired in 1973
from Allied Products and previously was a press and crane
operator at Studebaker Corp. He was born Nov. 20, 1910.
On May 29, 1936, in Sullivan County, he
married Freda Alumbaugh. She died Jan. 3, 1994. Surviving
are two daughters, Linda Meyers and Myrna Mahoney,
both of South Bend; a son, Gary of St. Charles, Ill.; six
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers,
Raymond of Panama City, Fla., and Wayne McBride of Terre Haute,
Ind.
There will be no services or visitation.
Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Guisinger Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
