MISHAWAKA - John McCarthy, 77, died
on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at home. John was born November
19, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to the late Justin and Catherine (Jacobs)
McCarthy. He was also preceded in death by a cousin, John Lindhal.
He was a Riley High School graduate and lived in Mishawaka for
most of his life. John was a veteran of the United States Army,
and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
Surviving are his cousins, Beth Marguardt of Dowagiac, MI,
Rosemary Lindhal of South Bend, Joe Richard of Mishawaka,
Patricia Van Rie of Mishawaka and Mary Ann Jacobs
of South Bend.
Visitation will be held in St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Mishawaka, on Monday, Sept. 29, from 9:30 to
10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the church
at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will
follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka. Hahn Funeral
Home, Mishawaka, is in charge of handling the arrangements. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph
Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
