GRANGER - James Allen McConnell, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008. He was born January 9, 1947, in Hammond Plantation, ME, to the late Elmer and Geraldine (Schools) McConnell. He was the third of five children and is survived by his four sisters, Patricia, Janet, Carol and Margaret. Jim received a bachelor's degree in science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and worked as an aerospace engineer for most of his career. On October 25, 1969, he married Kathleen (Jewett) McConnell in East Meadow, NY. They had two daughters, Karen Brown of Southlake, Texas, and Maureen Foreman of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. In addition to his wife and daughters, Jim is survived by his five grandchildren, Adrienne and Jillian Brown, and Nicholas, Caroline and Natalie Foreman; his sons-in-law, Stanton Brown and Dan Foreman; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends who loved him very much. Visitation will be today, Jan. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. and services will be on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. at McGann-Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, at 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Road).
