Sister M. Majella McCue CSC

Sister M. Majella CSC, died Wednesday afternoon in Saint Mary’s Convent after an extended illness. She was born Julia McCue, the daughter of George McCue and Julia Seeley, in Boise, Idaho in 1886. She was educated in Salt Lake City, Utah and Fort Wayne, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1905, receiving the habit of the sisterhood the same year. She made her profession of vows in 1911. During her community life she was stationed at St. Mary’s; Salt Lake City; Austin, Tex.; Morris and Harvard, Ill.; New York City; and Washington DC. She retired to St. Mary’s Convent when she became ill. Surviving are two sisters; Sister M. Sienna CSC, and Sister M. Diomira CSC.

 

Friends may call in the convent parlors. The requiem high mass will be offered at 7 a.m. Friday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
