Ann McCulley

WALKERTON - Ann McCulley, 89, of Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, IN, formerly of South Bend, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in the nursing home. Ann was born April 10, 1919, in Garrett, Indiana, to Maurice and Grace (Novinger) Bragg and was a homemaker. On March 1, 1946, Ann married James H. McCulley who preceded her in death on April 2, 2006. Surviving are her daughters, Martha (Roger) Oltmanns of South Bend, Sharon (Michael) Conrad of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Jennifer & Bob Conrad and Jeff & Brian Oltmanns. Ann was a wonderful mother & grandmother. She enjoyed cooking & baking, especially for family gatherings-her apple pie was the best! She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and the Bahamas with her dear friend, Evelyn. She also enjoyed playing euchre with her family and friends. She was involved with the Forever Learning institute where she loved to dance, Senior Fun Club at Chippewa Bowl, bowled at American Turners on a league for many years, and she was a volunteer in the gift shop at Healthwin Hospital on Saturdays. The family sincerely thanks The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care of Plymouth and the nurses and staff at Miller's Merry Manor of Walkerton for their compassionate care of Ann.

 

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM, today December 12, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, with Rev. Ted Lester officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:30 PM today, prior to services. Burial will take place at 9:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2008, at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
