Mrs Lewis McDaniels

1893 – October 15, 1953

Mrs. Lula Nesbitt McDaniels, 205 S Iowa St., died at 6:05am today in her residence after an illness of 14 months.

She was born in Memphis TN in 1893 and had lived in South Bend 30 years coming here from Memphis.  IN 1911 she was married to Lewis McDaniels, who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Emma Nesbitt, of South Bend; three brothers, Guy Nesbitt and William Nesbitt, both of South Bend, and Edward Nesbitt, of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Gardner and Mrs. Emma Isbell, both of South Bend and Mrs. Hannah Harrison of Memphis.

Friends may call in the Woolridge Funeral Home from 8pm Saturday until 11am Monday, when the body will be taken to the Olivet A.M.E.Church for services at 1pm.  Rev. William Ogleton will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Members of the Stewardess Board of the church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
