SOUTH BEND - Clark J. McDonald, 64, of 1637 S. Grant St., died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. McDonald retired April 1994 from AM General Corp. after 25 years of service. He was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Aug. 12, 1962, in Goshen, he married Pearl H. Stitt. She survives, with two daughters, Deborah A. Martinez of California and Cynthia A. Moon of Spring, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Phillips of South Bend; and a brother, Ronald ''Buck'' of Osceola. He was a veteran of the Korean War and member of Moose Lodge 556, Elkhart.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
