Daniel Arthur McDonnell, 29, of
Leonardtown, Md., formerly of Granger, Ind., died on Friday
night, Sept. 15, in an automobile/ motorcycle accident in
Maryland. Daniel was with the United States Navy stationed at the
Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md., as an Air Aviation
Ordinance Man Second Class.
Daniel was born on Aug. 3, 1971, in South
Bend and had been in Maryland for four years. He was a graduate
of St. Monica's grade school and Penn High School Class of
1989.He is survived by his parents, Robert Ambrose Jr. and Carol
Ann (Sniadecki) McDonnell of Granger; maternal
grandparents, Frank and Blanche (Przyblski) Sniadecki
of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Robert A. and Imogene R. (Devine)
McDonnell of Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Colleen Gael Sager
of Granger; a brother, Robert Ambrose III of Georgia, Del.; and
by two nieces and a nephew.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday, Sept. 21, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, with
full United States Navy Military Rites to follow services at the
church. Cremation will then take place.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today,
Sept. 20, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where
a prayer service will be said at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. The
family has requested no flowers.
