Sister Mary Beda CSC, 77, a nurse at St. Mary’s Convent, died Friday night in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. She was born May 31, 1869 in Philadelphia, Pa. as Mary McDonough. She entered the convent in 1891 and was professed in 1896. On Aug. 15 she celebrated her golden jubilee.

A requiem mass was said this morning in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception and burial was in the community cemetery at St. Mary’s.
