Lillian Katharine McDougal

MISHAWAKA - Lillian Katharine "Nana" McDougal, 73, of East 16th Street, passed away following an illness at 10:50 p.m. Monday in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born December 5, 1934, in Florence, Alabama, to Charles and Louetta (Crosslin) McDonald, who both preceded her in death.

 

On November 19th, 1949, in Iuka, Mississippi, she married William R. McDougal, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. McDougal is survived by her children, Wanda Dooms and Douglas (Judy) McDougal, both of Mishawaka; a brother, Willam S. McDonald of Niles, Michigan; four grandchildren, Joshua Hammond, Shawn (Melissa) McDougal, Matthew (Michelle) McDougal and Ian McDougal; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Hammond, Bryce McDougal and Hayley McDougal.

 

She was a housekeeper for the Countryside Place Nursing Home for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

 

Honoring Lillian's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. She will be taken home to Alabama by her family. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
