Margaret J. McGraw, 89, of the Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, New Carlisle, Ind., formerly of South Bend and Mishawaka, Ind., died following an illness at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in Hamilton Grove. Mrs. McGraw was born June 9, 1912, in Columbia City, Ind., to Lyman L. and Cora E. (Sauers) Nolte, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1978, coming from San Francisco, Calif.

She is survived by a sister, Mary N. Footer of South B end, and a cousin, Joan O'Connell of Oradell, N.J. She had been employed as an accountant for the U.S. Government for many years. Mrs. McGraw had been a member of First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the chapel of St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend, with Rev. Ronald Bowman of First United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation has taken place with burial to be held at Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City. The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, is handling arrangements.
