Alice A. McGregor, 86, of Meridian
Health Care Center-Cardinal, died Saturday, Jan. 11, in the St.
Joseph Medical Center. Mrs. McGregor was born on May 15, 1910,
and lived in South Bend all of her life. She retired from the
South Bend Community School Corporation as a crossing guard.
On Sept. 4, 1937, in South Bend, as Alice A.
Buczkowski, she married Stephen McGregor, who preceded her
in death on June 6, 1944. She is survived by two sons, Stephen
McGregor of South Bend and Michael McGregor of Belmont, Mich.;
two grandchildren, Michael and Melissa; and a
great-granddaughter, Emily. Mrs. McGregor was a member of the
Rosary Society and the Civic Club, both of St. Hedwig Church.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 14, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, with Rev.
Leonard F. Chrobot officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph
Cemetery.
Friends may call on from 3 to 7 p.m. on
Monday, Jan. 13, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix
Drive, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30
p.m.
