Betty M. McIntyre, 92, of Mishawka, Ind., passed away Saturday afternoon in Regency Place of South Bend, Ind. Born July 3, 1911, in Bourbon, Ind., to the late Calvin and Barbara (Freeman) Myers.

 

On Dec. 31, 1933, in First Methodist in Mishawaka, she married John E. McIntyre, who died in 1995. Also preceding her was a granddaughter, Lori Ann Stetson; and sister, Hope Kuss. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia and Dr. Robert Nelson of Honor, Mich., and Barbara Neufer of Mishawaka; grandchildren, John and Jackie Stetson of Rockville Center, N.Y., David Stetson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Tish and Dr. Mitchell Kline of Prospect, N.Y., Betsy and Greg Weeter of Dallas, Texas, Edward Neufer and Jenny of Fishers, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren, Laura and Amanda Stetson, Lindsay Neufer, Austin and Ryan Kline, Peyton and Bailey Weeter; and a sister, Jane and Robert Williams of Grand Rapids, Mich.

 

Mrs. McIntyre was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church and was ordained an Elder of the church in 1967. She was Past President of the Women's Association of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, Ladies Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital, the Children's Dispensary and the Women's Art League. She was a member of the P.E.O. chapter AT, The Snite Museum of Art, Northern Indiana Historical Society and a past member of the Morris Park Country Club and volunteered at the South Bend Art Center.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations be made in her loving memory to Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.
