Mr. Edgar "Mac" Eugene McIntyre, 68, of 54046 Whitesel Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, in his home. He was born on March 5, 1932, in Plymouth, Ind., and was a lifetime South Bend resident. Mac retired after 42 years of service in 1995 from Kuert Concrete Quality Control, South Bend. On July 28, 1997 in Rogersville, Tenn., Edgar married Doria Smith, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Kevin McIntyre of South Bend and Michael McIntyre of Elkhart, Ind.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Kelsey in 1998.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, in the Epworth United Methodist Church, 2404 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Drive, South Bend, IN 46637. The Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, Mich., was entrusted with services.
