SOUTH BEND - A memorial Mass for James C. McIntyre, 75, of
South Bend, Indiana, will be held Friday, Sept. 5th, 11 a.m. in
Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Road 933, South
Bend. Father Ron Tripi, CSC, will officiate. Born on March 4,
1933, in South Bend, Indiana, he passed away August 12, 2008.
Before retirement to Indiana, he had resided in Florida and was
the membership director for the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce
and served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary where he became an
instructor in watercraft safety. Also while in Florida, he served
as president of the homeowners association and was a member of
the Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Georgianne (Brzezinski)
McIntyre; two children, Mary (Robert) Hedel and David
(Teri) McIntyre; three grandchildren, Rhiannon McIntyre, Ian
McIntyre and Erica Harris; and a sister, JoAnne Weller.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mr. McIntyre
was preceded in death by his parents, Everette Raymond McIntyre
and Lavonne (Cox) McIntyre; and by three brothers, Warren
McIntyre, Todd Richard McIntyre and Thomas McIntyre.
