RAYMOND N. McKENZIE

  SOUTH BEND- Raymond N. McKenzie, 81, of 1837 Crestwood Blvd., died at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday in the home of a daughter on Kerlin Drive, Granger, after an illness. Mr. McKenzie retired from Michiana News Service after 60 years of service. He was born Sept. 17, 1911, in Cincinnati and lived in South Bend most of his life. On Jan. 23, 1931, in Goshen, he married Retta Stacy, she died June 29,1991. He is survived by five daughters, Carole Anderson and Marge Brentlinger, both of Granger, Barbara Brookshier of Arvada, Colo., and Lorraine Blily and Kathy Miller, both of Mishawaka; three sons, Fred of Keller, Texas, Bob of Lafayette, Ind., and Curtis of Niles; 36 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Hearrell of Stanfield, Ariz.; and a brother, Robert of Tucson, Ariz. A daughter, Joyce preceded him in death. He was a member of the South Bend Bowling Association for more than 51 years.   Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
