22, 1936 - May 26, 2010SOUTH BEND - Robert "Scottie" P. McKim, 73, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in his home. He was born on June 22, 1936 to the late Andrew and Rose (McIlhargey) McKim in Clydebank, Scotland, and has lived in South Bend since 1951. Scottie was the owner of Scottie's Custom Signs in South Bend, IN for over 36 years. On January 11, 1958, he married JoAnn Pershing at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, JoAnn (Pershing) McKim of South Bend; two daughters, Beth and Renee McKim, both of Chicago, IL; two sons, Andrew (Veda) McKim of South Bend, IN; Kevin (Ruth) McKim of South Bend, IN; three grandchildren, Cassidy and Grant McKim, both of South Bend, IN; Ian McKim of Chicago, IL; and a brother, William McKim of Chicago, IL. Along with his parents, his grandmother, Rose Ann McKim also preceded him in death. Mr. McKim was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 357; Marine Corps League; and Army & Navy Union No. 146 A Memorial Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, where Military Services will also be conducted.
