Lester H. McKinsey
April 5, 1910 - March 11, 2000
Mr. Lester H. McKinsey, 89, of
Strawberry Hill Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an
extended illness at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, in Saint
Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Mc Kinsey was born on April 5, 1910 in
Frankfort, Ind., and lived in the South Bend area since 1964
coming from Indianapolis, Ind.
On July 22, 1931 in Greenfield, Ind., he
married the former Elizabeth Ann Hagan who survives. He is
also survived by two sons, Larry H. Mc Kinsey of Crystal Lake,
Ill., and Phillip K. Mc Kinsey of Waterman, Ill.; seven
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren whom he loved and
cherished; and by a brother, Carl D. McKinsey of Frankfort. Mr.
McKinsey retired in 1974 from AT & T in South Bend after many
years of service. Mr. Mc Kinsey was preceded in death by a son,
Charles G. McKinsey who passed away in September 1963.
Visitation hours will be from 9 to 10:30
a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, in the HANLEY & SONS
"SOUTHWEST CHAPEL" FUNERAL HOME located at West Ireland
Road/Indiana 23, South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Wednesday, March 15 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Rev. James
Stoyle officiating. The family requests that all memorial
contributions be made to St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund.
