SOUTH BEND - Clyde J. McLeland, 84, of Kokomo, formerly of South Bend, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo. Mr. McLeland was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Burnettsville, Ind.

In 1937, he married Evelyn M. Chrispyn. She died in 1967. On Nov. 23, 1967, in South Bend, he married Mildred K. Shellenberger. She survives with two daughters, Sharon K. Harter of Clayton, Ind., and Jane A. Stevens of Kokomo; a son, William J. Shellenberger of Lumber, N.J.; three sisters, Nelda Shaffer of Burnettsville, Mildred Decker of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Geraldine Critchfield of Idaville, Ind.; and a brother, Kermit of Royal Center, Ind. He was a former member of Community Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Grace Baptist Church, Kokomo. Services and entombment will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Riverview Mausoleum, South Bend. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Ellers Mortuary, Kokomo.
