SOUTH BEND - Glenda P. McMurray, 80, of South Bend, IN,
passed away at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center-Mishawaka. Glenda worked at Indian Ridge
Wal-Mart up until nine months ago. She was much-loved by
employees and customers alike. Her delicate beauty, kind face,
and friendly manner could win over even the grouchiest customer.
She won the hearts of the doctors and the nurses who took care of
her during her illness. She will be missed by all. She took care
of her own yard, worked a full-time job, was a mother and best
friend, and shopping partner for her two daughters and two
daughters-in-law. She was very proud of her two sons and bragged
shamelessly to all who would listen. She was very excited about
each grandchild and got to start all over again with
great-grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Ron (Sandi) Clifton
of Michigan City, IN, and Jerry (Mary Jane) Clifton of Sun City
Center, FL; two daughters, Joann Gatlin of Osceola, IN,
and Diana J. Wallace (Brugh) of Niles, MI; eleven grandchildren,
Ronald (Brenda) Clifton, Jeffery (Jaime) Clifton, Rhonda Clifton,
Wanda Clifton, Tammy (Jim) Sego, Larry Gatlin, Cindy Wilson,
Mellissa (Kevin) Fyffe, Brian R. Reith, Keven R.
(Lisa) Reith and George R. (Nicki) Reith III; twenty-nine
great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicole, Emily, Connor, Liam,
Sidney, Dannil, Aislinn, Colm, Branok, Cassandra, Christopher,
Jacob, Mathew, Kaitlyn, Holden, Nikalos, Lindsey, Austin, Emma,
Travis, Tracey, Brandon, Chelsi, Melodi, Cody, Chad, Austin and
Tiffney; three great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gabriel and
Annabelle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
