Mary Ann (Klimishin) McSwain, 87, of Tomahawk Trail, South Bend, Ind., died at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, May 31, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, Ind. Mrs. McSwain was born on Oct. 25, 1911, in Russia, to Samuel P. and Mary (Kravchuk) Klimishin, and lived most of her life in South Bend and Allentown, Pa. Her husband, Clarence B. McSwain, preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1974. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Peter Klimishin in 1997. She is survived by a sister, Pauline Klimishin Deslauriers of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Walter Klimishin of Mishawaka; and by three nieces, three great-nephews and one great-niece. Mrs. McSwain was a member of Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Central High School.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, with Rev. Claude Joyner of Epworth Memorial and Rev. William D. Webster of Trinity Evangelical Free Church officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Society of St. Joseph County, United Health Services, 711 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617; or to the charity of donor's choice.
