M.C. McTurch

M.C. McTurch, 70, of 225 N. Huey St., expired at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in Cardinal Nursing Center, South Bend. He was born to John and Eunice McTurch, June 10, 1926, in Clarksdale, Miss. Both parents preceded him in death.

 

On Dec. 15, 1949, in Clarksdale, he married Estella Blanch, who survives. They moved to South Bend in November 1956. For many years he was an employee of Hurwich Iron Works, from which he retired. At the time of his death, he was a member of Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. McTurch leaves to cherish his memory and mourn their loss a loving family, his wife, Mrs. Estella McTurch of South Bend; five daughters, Linda Deloach and Brenda McTurch, of South Bend, Darlene McTurch of Michigan City, Ind., and Dorothy Honeycutt and Joyce McTurch, both of Seattle, Wash.; four sons, Michael and Raymond McTurch, both of South Bend, Terry McTurch of Indianapolis and Larry McTurch of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Two daughters preceded him in death. Because the family feels that they were blessed with the peace of understanding and comfort of his love, they are grateful that God gave them M.C., their father.

 

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday in Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
