Eugenia E. Mead

SOUTH BEND - Eugenia E. ``Jean'' Mead,
72, of South Sheridan Avenue, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday in her home
after an illness. Mrs. Mead was employed by REAL Services at St.
Joseph's Care Center as a senior aide. She was born June 12,
1921, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Bailey
of South Bend and Paul E. Bailey of Medina, Ohio; 11
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild;
and three sisters, Blondyna Van Ooteghem, Evelyn Stajkowski,
and Dorothy Van de Voorde, all of South Bend. She was a
member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the
church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call
from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where the
parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
