Elizabeth H. Mendel.

Elizabeth H. Mendel, 68, of 112 Woodlawn Drive, Warsaw, formerly of South Bend, died at 2:21 a.m. today in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Warsaw.  Mrs. Mendel was born July 8, 1915, in South Bend and lived here most of her life until moving to Warsaw 16 years ago.  On July 29, 1941, in Valparaiso, as Elizabeth Wartha, she married Arden J. Mendel.  He survives with a daughter, Brenda Lyn Mendel of Warsaw; a son, Arden J. Mendel, Jr. of Warsaw; three sisters, Mary Valleau of Rockford, Ill., and Theresa Geopfrich and Olga Brothers, both of South Bend; and a brother, Edward Wartha of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.  Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m.
