Sister Mary Jeanette CSC, 92, of Saint Mary’s Convent died there at 2:50 a.m. today after a long illness. She had served at convents in Utah, Idaho and California before coming to St. Mary’s in 1959. Born Nov. 4, 1881 in Germany, as Stanislava Maria Mendyka, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Sept. 29, 1904, coming from Berlin, Germany. She was received as a novice on Aug. 9, 1905 and made her professional vows on Aug. 15, 1907. There are no immediate survivors.

Friends may call today until time of services Monday in the St. Mary’s Convent Parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s.
