MISHAWAKA - Joseph Mercantini, 88, of West 13th Street, died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday in Countryside Place. Mr. Mercantini retired in 1967 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 46 years of service. He was born April 19, 1905, in Subbiano, Italy, and lived in Mishawaka since 1920, coming from Iowa. On Nov. 11, 1934, in Elkhart, he married Angeline ''Angie'' Baldoni. She survives with a son, Samuel of Mishawaka; and two nephews. He was a member of DeAmicis Club and St. Bavo's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Hahn Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 7:30 p.m.
