Mrs. Adolphe Mervilde

July 16, 1895October 25, 1967

 

Mrs. Adolphe Mervilde, 72, of 545 W. 7th St., died at 7pm Wednesday in the Golden Age Manor, following an illness of six months. 

 

Mrs. Mervilde was born in Nevel, Belgium, July 16, 1895, and she came to Mishawaka in 1920.  As Miss Bertha M. DeCloedt, she married Mr. Mervilde in St Bavo’s Church here, May 12, 1920.  He died June 3, 1966.  Surviving are one son, Armand E. Mervilde of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. James Gardino, Canoga Park CA; nine grandchildren; a brother, Leon DeCloedt of Mishawaka, and five brothers and three sisters, all of Belgium.

 

Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Chapel after 6pm today.  Funeral services will be at 9am Saturday in St Bavo’s Church.  Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, pastor, will officiate with burial in Fairview Cemetery.  Mrs. Mervilde was a member of the Senior Altar Society of St Bavo’s Parish and members will recite the rosary at 7:30pm Friday in St Bavo’s Church.

Funeral Notes

Last rites for Mrs. Adolphe Mervilde, 72, of 545 W. 7th St., who died Wednesday in the Golden Age Manor, will take place at 9am Saturday in St Bavo’s Church.  The pastor, Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, will officiate and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in St Bavo’s Church.  Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Chapel.
