Mrs. Alice Sergeant Mesaros

August 21, 1898 - May 20, 1945

Mrs. Alice Sergeant Mesaros, aged 46, of 720 Cleveland Avenue, died at 2:30pm Sunday in her residence after an illness of two weeks.

She was born in South Bend, August 21, 1898, and spent all her life here.  In 1930 she was married to Stephen Mesaros, who survives.  She is also survived by four sons, S/Sergt Robert Mesaros, of England; George Mesaros, Seaman First Class of San Diego CA; Lawrence & Jack, at home; two daughters, Dorothy Buysse and Joyce Mesaros, both at home; three brothers, Camiel, Frank and Victor Sergeant, all of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Oliver LaFree, of South Bend.

Friends may call in the residence until funeral services in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church at 9am Wednesday.  Rev. Edmond J. Philippe, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Prayers will be read in the residence at 7:30pm Tuesday.  She was a member of Flanders Field Post No. 299, American Legion Auxiliary.
