Henrietta N. Mesaros

June 1, 1906-Dec. 27, 1995

SOUTH BEND - Henrietta N. Mesaros, 89, of Transitional Health Services of South Bend, formerly of Woodward Avenue, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the nursing home.

Mrs. Mesaros was born June 1, 1906, in South Bend. In 1939, as Henrietta Kubiak Deranek, she married Stephen F. Mesaros. He died in 1961. She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Robaska of South Bend; a grandson, Patrick Walczewski of South Bend; and a sister, Irene Garber of South Bend. She was past president of the former Bendix Aviation Unit 284 American Legion Auxiliary, a member of St. Joseph County Salon No. 156 Department of Indiana, American Legion Auxiliary Post 50 and Army & Navy Auxiliary No. 156, a charter member of Auxiliary to Barracks No. 829, and a member of auxiliaries World War I and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Women of the Moose 1057, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
